CIT and CIT Crawford College of Art and Design have a rich history of creative education. With an award winning Library, IT Building etc., CIT offers courses at undergraduate level from architecture to multi media.

A relative new-comer, DID is a private college offering full-time, part-time and short accredited programmes. All tutors have an industry background with most still practicing.

Based in Dún Laoghaire in South Dublin- IADT is known for courses that bring science and design together, IADT have established a name for tough courses that challenge students. Tutors with both industry and academic backgrounds.

DkIT is located on the M1 corridor about halfway between Dublin and Belfast.. The School of Informatics and Creative Arts offers a range of creative courses.

With five locations in the West of Ireland, GMIT has three research centres and two innovation-in-business centres. GMIT's Letterfrack campus contains the National Centre for Excellence in Furniture Design and Wood Technology.

Based in Donegal, students at LYIT can avail of a suite of graphic design studios, and CoLab — an on-campus business development centre.

Part of LIT is based in Limerick city in Moylish Park campus where it houses the Faculty of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology and the School of Business and Humanities. LSAD is part of LIT.

Part of LIT, LSAD is an award-winning, world-renowned centre. First Year students share a core year with helping to identify learner aptitudes and development potential. Each creative course has links with industry on a regional, national or international basis. Some design courses are based in LIT's Clonmel campus.

Maynooth University offers a range of award-winning creative undergraduate courses. The Design Department is home to the University Centre for Entrepreneurship, Design and Innovation (EDEN), where students can engage in designing new products and ventures.

If you want the real 'art school' experience walking around the Thomas Street campus will give you just that. NCAD have moved to a 3&2 module, which means you can complete a Degree in three years with a 2 year add-on for your masters qualification. Students are encouraged to get internships and travel abroad in third year.
