Information Session: Friday Sept 4th, 2026 – Register via the Design Skillnet website.

Starting on Oct 7th, the Professional Diploma in Design Leadership and Management has been developed for busy working professional designers and design function managers (who may not necessarily be trained designers themselves but who work with designers) to empower them to take their influence, careers, teams and business to the next level.

Developed by PARK, a world-leading consultancy in design management and design leadership and founders of the LEGO Academy, the Design Leadership and Management programme is a blended learning approach of experiential, in-person, online learning and 1:1 coaching. It is delivered by expert trainers who work on a daily basis with design leaders, supporting them in responding to the opportunities generated at the emerging intersection of design and business.

The programme is endorsed by design councils across the world. Alumni span a wide range of sectors and include, among others: Accenture Fjord, Johnson Controls, Laya Healthcare, Salesforce, Logitech, Hubspot, Tayto Snacks, Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, Marco Beverage Systems, Lioncor, Tines, Food Marble, Silvercloud Health (by Amwell), Novartis, GSK, LEGO, Mars, Novartis, Sony, Bosch, Unilever. Agency alumni include Publicis, The Public House, RichardsDee, Design Partners (now part of PA Consulting), Path, Each&Other, Zero-G, Zoo Digital.

To find out more about the programme, read our Q&A series with the Course Director James Hall and past participants David Wall, Lydia Ward, Agnieszka Matula, Karla Devenney, John Duggan, Renata Dias and Michelle O’Connor.

Join us in the evening of March 7th for our annual WhyDesign event to celebrate International Women’s Day.

We are excited to invite you, the Irish creative community, to join us on the evening of March 7th to the Spencer Hotel Dublin.

Tackling climate change requires adapting every aspect of our lives and considering our impact not just on the environment but also social and economic systems. This is linked to themes of social justice and gender equality. Designers have the potential to make exciting changes in the way we see and interact with our world.

We have invited incredible keynote speakers to bring this theme to life, not only offering stimulating thought and discussion but also the practical tools needed to have immediate positive impact on the Irish Design community and their businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity to bring the design community together, embrace inclusion, and uplift the talents of Irish Designers.
We would love to see a 50:50 gender balance reflected in our audience. So women, please bring a man or men bring yourselves, you are all very welcome.
So don’t delay, get your tickets now and join us in this brilliant space with a 150-seater capacity.
